JYP to have 2PM promote as 6 members. Fans say, “Sorry but we will not support 2PM as 6 members”

Park Jin Young has announced that 2PM will continue as 6 members without leader Park JaeBum. With 2PM promoting without JaeBum, fans have gone into a panic state and a further boycott.

Park Jin Young wrote on JYP Entertainment official homepage on 17th September, “JaeBum said that he cannot get back to the stage to perform because he is very sorry and embarrassed.”

Park Jin Young also added, “2PM will continue with their schedule as 6 members. We cannot comply with the demand for JaeBum’s withdrawal.”


“For those who are worried about the 4 years of training gone to waste, There will be other opportunities for JaeBum in the future since he has spend 4 years practising and he has the talents in him.”

And on various internet forum sites and fan sites, the message by JYP was posted up, and has caused an outroar amongst fans and netizens.

2PM will be promoting as 6 members – JunSu, TaekYeon, ChanSung, Nich Khun, JunHo and WooYoung from now.

WooYoung and his feelings about 2PM promoting as 6 members on his minihompy

Park Jin Young has finally revealed his stand about group 2PM. On 17th September, Park Jin Young officially announced that 2PM will continue promotions as 6 membes without leader Park JaeBum.

On the same day, 2PM member WooYoung changed the main post on his Cyworld minihompy. He wrote the words “死卽必生” and changed the background music of the minihompy to the instrumental version of the group’s debut song ‘10 points out of 10′.

The phrase 死卽必生(사즉필생) comes from a part of General Lee Soon Shin’s famous saying ‘생즉필사(生卽必死) 사즉필생(死卽必生)’. It means “When you are set to live, you face death. If you are set to face death, you live”. This was adopted when he was in the MyeongRyang Sea Battle where he met victory with only 10 battleships over over his enemy with 10 times of the number of battleships that he has.

It seems that WooYoung was using the phrase to talk about his feelings about the withdrawal of leader JaeBum.

Meanwhile, fans voiced that they will boycott 2PM as 6 members without JaeBum as part of the group.
