On the 16th of October, Mnet posted on their website "There is no MKMF this year". This has arose a lot attention by netizens "Are you getting rid of MKMF permanently?", "Why are you doing this?" and other questions. Along with this shocking announcement, a video showing the past ten years at the MKMF was posted.
Mnet confirmed after ten years, it is true we are ending MKMF.
Also they announced that on the 23rd of October, they will reveal their new plans that may replace MKMF as an award show or a completely different idea.
