[TRANS] 091121 SM "The Three Members Had No Right To Receive The Award As The Representative Of TVXQ" "SM -The three members do not represent TVXQ!

TVXQ's YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu, who are locked in an exclusive contract lawsuit with their agency, attended the '2009 Mnet Asian Music Awards' at the Seoul, Jamshil Indoor Gymnasium and received the Best Asia Star Award.

To be exact, these three members of TVXQ accepted the award on behalf of all five members who received the award for their activities in countries around Asia.

With regards to this, agency SM Entertainment stated, "The three members of TVXQ had no right to receive the award on behalf of TVXQ."

They also said, "If Mnet was planning on giving an award to TVXQ, they should have contacted SM Entertainment for a replacement receiver but instead they invited only the three members and gave them the award. This is unacceptable."

A representative of Mnet stated, "We invited all five members of TVXQ to receive the award. However, two members did not respond, and the three other members came to receive the award," and "There were no problems with the receiving of the award as the three members even talked of the two members who could not attend in their acceptance speech."

JaeChunSu accused of fraud in China

It has been known that Dong Bang Shin Ki trio (Micky YooChun, Xiah JunSu and Hero JaeJoong) has been accused of fraud in China.

Dong Bang Shin Ki’s representative came out to say, “This is just a unilateral allegation, there is no problems in terms of legal issues.”

It was known that a cosmetic company has launched a complaint of fraud against the trio at the on 17th and 18th November at the Beijing Arbitration Commission and the Beijing Haidian District People’s Court of Arbitration and Litigation.

The plaintiff ‘Ye Ja Ryeo (睿姿丽)’ have revealed that the trio have promised to attend the various large-scale promotional activities for their joint venturn cosmetic line (Crebeau) when they first joined the joint venture as shareholders and directors, but they did not turn up for any planned events. They have only continuously apologised for their absence.

The company also raised the point that if the trio do not turn up for the events, it has led to many fans’ unhappiness and demand for refund of their goods. The company quoted an amount of 170 million KRW in loss due to that.

But the representative lawyer for the trio Im SangHyuk have said, “I also heard about this only from the reporters. But since the situation now is that even the investors saying to abandon the case, there is not problems in terms of legal issues, just a unilateral allegation from the plaintiff.”

Lee Seung Gi Contracts H1N1

After filming “Two Days and One Night” last Saturday, Lee Seung Gi complained of headaches, fever, and coughs, according to his representative. After the symptoms persisted, he was taken to the hospital, where he tested positive for H1N1 on Tuesday. Lee immediately notified the “Two Days and One Night” production team of his diagnosis and promptly suspended all his activities. The doctors prescribed Tamiflu and seven days of isolation and rest for Lee. He’s currently recovering and feeling better after treatment.

Lee's suspended activities include the Son Dambi and Lee Seung Gi Concert scheduled for Thursday, November 12th, in Los Angeles. However, “Two Days and One Night” and “Heart of Steel”, two shows in which Lee is making a regular appearance, are not affected by his absence, as they have already taped episodes for the following week.

Park Jin Young speaks up officially about 2PM's Jaebum for the first time on MBCs's "Golden Fishery".

On the November 11th episode of "Golden Fishery", Park Jin Young said, “If Jaebum comes back, he will return as part of 2PM, of course. It will not be a solo comeback.”

MC Kang Ho Dong then asked, “Did you have to send Jaebum off to America in such a rush?” and Park Jin Young replied, “When Jaebum’s case was exposed, it was put under great criticism. And when he returned to the States, suddenly public opinion was, ‘Was there a mistranslation?’ and that he did not do any wrong. The answer is in-between.”

He continued, “Even though it was not like it was a mistake, it was not like it wasn’t a mistake as well. Someone who is responsible for part of the culture or has nothing to do with our culture should not be receiving the criticisms.”

“Jaebum is not a bad child. Back then, he was going through a tough time and was not motivated at all. He even said to me, "If it is not Park Jin Young’s song, I am confident of success." But I like it that he does not lie. Jaebum has been changing and the Jaebum now is very different from the Jaebum then. The Jaebum back then caused hurt to many Koreans, but the Jaebum now is very embarrassed by what he has done and does not want to burden the group as the leader, so he has decided to leave. If it was me, I would have done the same.”

Kang Ho Dong then asked, “As the company, shouldn’t you stop him?” Park Jin Young said, “He did wrong, and on his own, he thought that he did wrong. If you care about Jaebum... I think that public opinion and fans should leave him be. He will know that everyone cares, but leave him to be for now.”

When he is willing to return on to the stage, I will help him willingly. If Jaebum is to return, he will return as 2PM and not solo. After his latest digital single “Where U At” and it’s unexpected success, Taeyang will finally release “Wedding Dress” on November 13th. There is not a date set for the music video yet, but it would most likely be released around the same time.

Last year Taeyang had enormous success with his first solo album “HOT” and his major hit “Only Look At Me“ for this year fans are expecting a lot more and already obtained that from ‘Where U At’ even though YG wasn’t expecting it.

However unlike “Where U At“, “Wedding Dress” will be fully promoted on music shows, radio shows, etc. YG plans to broadcast and promote this song fully until the end of the year.

[NEWS]SM Changes It's Stand On Unfair Contracts?

SM Entertainment CEO’s Kim Young Min, who is involved in the ‘unfair contract’ dispute with his artists, has recently announced a new contract policy, and that it will be put into action once it gets approved by the related authorities.

SM Entertainment representative, Kim Young Min, who attended the press conference which was held on November 2, 2009 said, “We would collect all comments from music and entertainment industries, related government departments, cultural and tourism board, fair trade departments, educational circles and legislative bodies, based on the law to adjudicate a new contract policy. After the approval from the respective authorities, we would then put it into action. Then follow it (new contract policy) enthusiastically.”

Kim agreed, “If we are able to come out with a new exclusive contract policy based on the law, SM would like to re-contract with all current artists based on it.”

Kim also expressed, “Under the new exclusive contract, the moment it’s signed it would be protected till the contract ended, if not the current situation would repeat over and over again in the future.”

“In order to prove that what have just I said is nothing but the truth, we would first like to take the advice from the impartial committee,” he said.

But, everyone was not able to fully believe this announcement by SM Entertainment. Professor Lee from Korea Art University stated, “If SM does not wish to have what they have just said to turned into nothing, then they should assure them.” He continued, “Based on what SM have said, they do not wish to fully take on the advice from the impartial committee, but to forcefully come out with a new contract policy, which was questionable (their announcement).”

Professor Lee ended, “If SM was really sincere about this, they should work on the new contract based on the advice and not vice versa, and then to get it approved by the representative authorities.”

It seems that BoA is everywhere these days and rightfully so. Her latest single titled, "Bump Bump!" an upbeat dance number has already been released in Japan Oct. 28th. It was picked as the title song of October on a Japanese music program, “Music Fighter,” and included in the TV ad for music.jp. Another piece included in the album is “Izm,” a medium-tempo dance piece.

The single garnered attention simply because of BoA's new short hair look she sported on the album cover. Apparently she cut her hair short to fit the image of a tough girl and to show another side of her personality. According to Yonhap News Agency, Verbal, a member of Japan's hip hop group M-Flo, took part in the production of the album as a featuring artist which helped to create a high level of anticipation in Japan. The music video for the title song also showcases BoA’s powerful dance moves and charismatic on-screen presence.

BoA plans to hold her Christmas concert, BoA the Live 2009 X-mas, in Tokyo on December 4th and 5th, and in Osaka on December 8th.

The comeback album for 2PM titled ‘1:59PM’ has been unveiled! This is also 2PM’s first full length album and first album released since leader JaeBum left the group due to the MySpace criticisms.

Heartbeat

The title song to the album is ‘Heartbeat’. And the album itself contains 13 tracks, including tracks from the boy’s mini albums released before like ‘Again & Again’ and ‘10 points out of 10′.

A preview of “Heaven’s Postman” was shown at the Seoul CGV Theater
at 4:30 PM on November 9th, 2009.

Since it was the first time for Jaejoong to act in a movie setting,
the detailed acting (to display the feelings) and the expression could have been better,
but to create the love story together with Han Hyo-joo,
he showed a comparatively lively performance.

At the premiere theater showing, Hero Jaejoong mentioned,
“It was a new challenge for me. Han Hyo-joo and the producer helped me a lot.
When I saw my face for the first time at the theater screen, it gave me the shivers.”

Andy, who has released his second album after going solo, said in an interview with Asia Economics Newspaper that, "I can sort of understand the pain the TVXQ members are going through right now. As a fellow singer, I am very saddened by the situation. I hope that they come to a decision that doesn't hurt both sides."

Regarding TVXQ's current legal dispute with SM Entertainment, he said, "I do not have the right to say what is right and what is wrong. It is even hard to say what I want to happen," and "Singers all have a stage that they want to stand on. I hope that they do not lose their individual thoughts and determination. I hope they think of their fans the most."

He also continued by saying, "Before, all of us (Shinhwa) go together, saw TVXQ and all thought, 'They're so cool. It's intimidating.' TVXQ's powerful performance and singing was so intimidating to all of us. We did not know something like this would happen so I am in shock and I'm saddened."

Regarding the reason the members of Shinhwa were able to perform individual acticities without any discord, Andy said, "Instead of being greedy, we worked hard to help each other. All of us are people who have their own greeds. But we never thought that we had to become like someone else who was successful. We always worked to find our own colors but I sometimes think, 'If it wasn't for Shinhwa, would we have gotten this far?' If you only think of your own thoughts and those of nobody else, it becomes a fight. I hope that they do not disregard the big picture for the little things."

As a closing statement, Andy said, "Later, when all the Shinhwa members get together, I want us to stand on one stage with TVXQ. Although they may overshadow us, it won't be impossible as we will work hard to shine as much as they do since all of us are really competitive. I think that we would be able to at least not embarrass ourselves and create a great performance. I want to see TVXQ again."
